Darja Malešič
Designer Darja Malešič explores the possibilities offered by traditional basket weaving. By reinterpreting the heritage of the past in collaboration with Slovenian basket weavers, she creates contemporary, sustainable products. Using local materials such as willow, hazel, corn husks, and rye straw, she develops a series of lamps, home products, and footwear. Her collections, where principles of circular design and cultural heritage intertwine, have received several design awards and have been exhibited at numerous international design curated exhibitions, including design weeks in Milan, Paris, Berlin, Vienna, and the Netherlands (Dutch Design Week).
