Colour My World Blue

This project focused on designing a three-room apartment for a couple of journalists and their newborn. The clients envisioned a bold and colorful interior, leading us to select a vibrant palette of turquoise, blue, and salmon – balanced by neutral grays and industrial touches like concrete-effect decorative paint and metal structures.

A recurring theme throughout the apartment is the circle motif, inspired by the perforated panels on the building’s façade. This motif is echoed in the furniture, perforations, and decorative elements, lending the design a cohesive and playful rhythm.

The kitchen is organized on four sides and features a multifunctional peninsula. Playful references to the game of X and O appear in details such as circular perforations on the boiler cabinet and refrigerator handle, as well as X-shaped handles and a table leg that add unexpected character. In the living room, a custom decorative wall with integrated LED strips and a metal-framed bookshelf with glass shelves was designed to house the couple’s 200-book collection. The master bedroom includes a 4-meter-long wardrobe with an arched niche and circular details, ensuring visual continuity and a soft geometric language throughout the space.

This project aims to blend functionality with personality – creating a modern, expressive, and highly livable home.
