Perched on a steep Oaxacan slope, Casa Tobi is a rhythmic architectural journey that descends toward the Pacific. The experience begins at a reflecting pool on the upper level, where water mirrors the sunset and cools the social spaces below. As one moves deeper, the architecture shifts from the intimate compression of a cave-like walkway to the sudden expansion of a double-height living area, where the study, kitchen, and pool frame the horizon.

Following the natural topography, the design culminates in lower-level bedrooms nestled within the treetops. Clad in earth tones that evoke a crab’s shell and the arid landscape of Puerto Escondido, Casa Tobi stands as a crustacean emerging from the rocks – a harmonious blend of family dreams and conscious tourism.
