The “Brooch of Thetis” is based on a design process for the IRON MEN exhibition at the KHM in 2022, which deals with ornaments in armor. In the production process, a 0.6mm thick steel plate is laser cut, deburred, and powder coated. Stainless steel is a very modern element, its contemporary use, produced with hi-tech machines and also processed by hand, puts the brooch into the 21st century and is thus a sophisticated contrast product to the plating art of the Middle Ages.
