AFTR restaurant

Bistro Aftr is located on Nazorjeva Street in Ljubljana. Our task was to transform the interior of an existing Michelin-starred restaurant into a bistro. The basic idea was to turn the interior of a serious restaurant into a more relaxed and youthful ambiance.

The special feature of the renovation is the reuse of almost all equipment while keeping the main focus on food. Thus, the concept of “freeze design” emerged, where we achieved the desired change by monochrome painting of everything. The venue transforms from a bistro during the day to a more relaxed evening setting with a DJ.

The venue is divided into three parts, and for the main change of ambiance, three colors were chosen: the main area in blue, two smaller booths in pink, and the back area in green. A unique feature in the space is an original graffiti and neon sign on the far cross wall (created by artist Leon Zuodar).
