The Liya residence is conceived as a composition of distinct geometric volumes, each with its own identity, materiality, and orientation, yet harmoniously connected. Rather than pursuing uniformity, the design embraces diversity, creating relationships of proximity, balance, and coexistence. Inspired by the structure of a family, the house consists of autonomous units that form a unified whole.

Natural materials such as local stone, wood, and earth-toned finishes enhance its integration with the Messinian landscape. Organized across three zones following the terrain, the residence combines outdoor living, semi-open transitional spaces, and interior areas filled with light and views, while allowing flexibility through its potential division into two independent units.
