The Myconian Deos: Set into a hilltop above Mykonos, The Myconian Deos, part of The Myconian Collection, is in a world of its own, of sensitive and intentional luxury, drifting between sea and sky. Designed by GM Architects, The Myconian Deos seamlessly integrates traditional Greek architectural elements with modern, high-end hospitality, creating a unique, immersive experience for its guests. The hotel’s design not only embraces the island’s natural charm, but also elevates the luxury hospitality sector by providing an environment that is both functional and breathtakingly beautiful.
The project’s design language takes its inspiration from modern Cycladic architecture, a minimalist style from the Greek Cycladic Islands, characterized by whitewashed cubic houses with planted roofs, built to be in harmony with the natural landscape and climate. This traditional design and organization of the spaces helps to firmly root the hotel in its location, with locally sourced finishes and furniture adding authenticity. With experience in master planning, architecture, and interior design, as well as an extensive portfolio of seafront resorts, multidisciplinary practice GM Architects were the ideal choice to bring the new resort to life. Set to become the new benchmark for luxury destinations in the Aegean, GM Architects’s design puts the guest experience at the forefront, with spaces designed to ignite all of the senses.
