The “House of breathing void” is conceived as a sanctuary of openness, a dwelling that breathes, listens, and connects. Anchored between earth and sky, the house establishes a continuous dialogue between interior and exterior, shaped by climate, light, and Mediterranean lifestyle. At its center lies an atrium, the open heart of the home, where air, light, and life circulate freely, forming both the emotional and environmental core.
The design follows bioclimatic principles, with a clear southern orientation that captures sunlight, enhances passive heating, and enables natural ventilation. From the dual ideas of openness and solar orientation, a diagonal gesture emerges, defining the building’s form and identity. Light becomes a material, shaping atmosphere, rhythm, and human experience through time and season. Spaces unfold around the atrium like petals, oriented toward garden, sky, and views. The project employs low-embodied carbon and recycled materials, while it prioritizes resilient, adaptable spaces that respond to changing climates and evolving occupant needs. The house becomes a living organism where architecture, sustainability, and human life coexist harmoniously.
