Via Tantardini 1-3 by Giuseppe Tortato Architetti

The redevelopment of Via Tantardini 1‑3 in Milan transforms two early twentieth-century buildings into a modern and elegant residential complex, while preserving their architectural identity. Covering approximately 1.000 sqm, the intervention created 18 unique housing units, including lofts, attics, and apartments with private terraces or gardens, each with distinctive features.

Special attention was given to the facades, railings, and gates, harmonizing contemporary materials with historical references, as well as to common areas, with burnished metal finishes, light wood, and carefully designed lighting, to create welcoming spaces. The inner courtyard hosts a small, private green oasis, with planters and circular openings providing natural light to the lofts below. The project emphasizes a dialogue between past and present, enriching the urban fabric while offering elegant, functional, and contextually coherent living spaces.
