JESENKA by Stanislav Lamovšek, designed by Tanja Podbevšek and Stanislav Lamovšek

JESENKA is a unique lamp made of Slovenian ash wood. In the process of hand-crafted craftsmanship, on a wood lathe, and with shapes that draw inspiration from the history of Slovenian wood cultural heritage, the designer and craftsman create a unique story, with the aim of adding high added value to Slovenian wood.

Each lamp is a unique product, as the circumference of the tree trunk, the content of ash wood blackness, and the arrangement of wood years during the tree’s growth create unique and unrepeatable patterns that illuminate the space through a thin, translucent layer of wood. During the day, when the lamp is turned off, it takes on the role of a floating aesthetic sculpture that reigns over the space, and with darkness and lighting, it also gains the functional value of illuminating the space, which it further enriches with the play of light and shadow.
