When a regional cycle path was built northwest of the bank, we were asked to draw up a small planting plan. After initial planning discussions, it was agreed to examine the entire forecourt in terms of its open space potential. Washing hands at the fountain and the interplay of sun and shade under the trees make the square a bee pasture, an urban oasis, and an added value for employees, customers, and people in the city.

Ultimately, the planning task was expanded to include a spacious employee garden – the goal was to create a retreat for people and the environment. The employee garden offers a sun terrace with round tables and encounters at eye level. Light and shade under parasols and individual trees characterize the atmosphere. Trees, shrubs, and unpaved parking spaces were created. Walking paths lead through the tree nursery between field maple, aspen, and other species. Old varieties of pome fruit grow in the pome fruit quarter. The berry patch provides enjoyment. Herbs can be harvested between golden balm, hyssop, and yarrow. The wild hedge with chokeberries, rose hips, and cornel cherries invites visitors to go on a little “foraging” expedition.
