MYCONIAN MYTHODEA is the renovation of a 1960s family home in Ano Mera, Mykonos. The project’s core intention was to preserve the childhood memories of the owners, maintaining the emotional essence of the original Cycladic volumes. The design respects the past while introducing a contemporary spatial flow, with two en suite bedrooms, kitchen, living room, and outdoor areas, including a pool and dining space.
Traditional materials – wood, cement plaster, woven textiles – blend with custom furniture and curated lighting to evoke calm and authenticity. The intervention balances memory and modernity, enhancing the guest experience while honoring local identity. It stands as a sensitive architectural gesture, rooted in personal history and Cycladic heritage.
