The Woodfoam lamp project is inspired by a newly developed bio-material, made from wood, originally designed for packaging foam and produced by Woamy. Defective sheets created during production possess a unique beauty due to manufacturing errors. The industrial precision is interrupted by randomness, reconnecting the material to its organic, natural origins. The semi-transparent, lightweight quality of the material lends itself well to light manipulation, creating a warm ambiance that reflects its wooden essence.
