In order to increase the well-being of its employees and to offer more value, Welser Profile Austria decided to offer freshly cooked food in the company. However, they did not want to create just a cafeteria; they decided to create a real restaurant, and that is how we came across the opportunity to design it. Instead of building a new building, thanks to the new work processes that Welser has implemented in recent years, we found a way during the project development to convert an existing office level into a company restaurant, including a full kitchen.
So, we did our best to use and design the given space into a functional and attractive place to meet and eat. And it’s not only restaurant for a few hours, it’s a multi-purpose room for the whole day. Seats are equipped with power outlets for working and for small meetings during the day. Different seating situations are suitable for different needs, and a lot of wood and plants bring warmth and comfort to have a break and a rest from the working environment. So, we are very happy and proud to have created a place where CEO’s, office workers, and factory workers can enjoy the fresh and local food and share their break together.
