The Veron shop occupies a former garage within a central building owned by the client’s family since its construction. The garage had remained unused due to degradation, prompting the client to repurpose it into a fashion design shop. The primary challenge was to establish a contemporary identity for a shop that was not immediately visible to passersby.
The design solution involved cladding the entire space in pale pink ceramic tiles, with variations in format depending on their placement. To counteract the low ceiling height and create an illusion of greater height, the ceiling was covered with plexiglass. Metal furniture, detached from the walls, was used to maintain a sense of fluidity, with the only fixed element being the central stand.
For the main entrance, the door was designed to replicate the original garage access, incorporating clear glass to enhance light and visibility. The removal of the deteriorated ramp allowed for the creation of a small courtyard, adding charm and functionality to the space.
The revitalization of this former garage has been a success, transforming it into a vibrant part of the local commercial scene and providing the shop with a distinctive contemporary identity.
