Taste moravia by bike, Olomouc region

Through a joint effort of the local producers, the Union of Municipalities of Microregion Mohelnicko, and the Olomouc region have created a cycle trail Taste Moravia by bike. The cycle trail is not only a great opportunity for shared promotion of the local producers but also a challenge for cyclists and gourmets alike – it runs through a marvellous rural landscape and offers intriguing gourmet experience. Among the local specialties that you can taste along the trail is the unique curd cheese and original meals made from it, exquisite home-made chocolate, delicious ice cream, cow, goat and sheep cheese and dairy products, traditionally made pâtés, chutneys, syrups, smoked meat, lavender and many more. The whole route is 91 km long and is marked by yellow plates with the Czech name of the trail – „Ochutnej Moravu na kole“. You can adjust the course of the route to your interests and capabilities. There are 13 stops along the route altogether offering to enrich the outdoor experience with indulgence for your taste buds and nose, visit of a farm animal safari, and a taste of local traditions and history.
