Srđa Hrisafović

Academy of Fine Arts Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina

With more than 30 years of experience as an architect, lighting designer, educator, and researcher, Prof. Hrisafovic has contributed extensively to the fields of architectural and lighting design. He has authored and co-authored numerous projects, articles, book chapters, and conference papers, while also advising local governments on lighting and environmental policy. His academic career includes teaching at universities across Europe, the USA, and New Zealand, with a special focus on light in architectural design.

At the Academy of Fine Arts, University of Sarajevo (Department of Product Design), Prof. Hrisafovic teaches courses in Designing with Light, Processes and Materials, and Sustainable Design Technologies.

His current research focuses on the project Designing with Light: Energy Efficiency for Urban Illumination, exploring how light can be used as both a design tool and a means of advancing sustainable urban development.
