Rositsa Mircheva, Bulgaria
Nominator: Antonina Dimitrova Tritakova
Nominator's statement
I had the chance to meet and work with Rositsa during her student years when she applied as an intern at our studio in 2022. My colleague and I were pleasantly surprised by her student portfolio, which—given her young age—showed a deep understanding of the local context, material use, and a strong love for experimentation.
I was particularly drawn to her extraordinary graphic presentation and her ability to clearly communicate complex philosophical and metaphorical ideas, which she often integrates into her projects. Even her interests and hobbies reflect the presence of an artist within her.
Her analytical thinking and open-minded approach give us confidence that one day she will become one of the notable architects shaping our environment with great sensitivity.
In the era of AI, we believe it no longer matters only what or how you do something—but why you do it. And we have no doubt that her "why" is her driving force.
LIBRARY
The project explores a library wrapped by additional functions providing its existence in the contemporary world, while its essence and true value lay hidden. The library appears as excess, a space that was formed without being planned.
PRODUCTIVE LANDSCAPES
The project is investigating the land usage problems of a natural park in Southern Portugal. The provided solution aims to recreate the balance between agriculture, urban areas and nature which are the main inhabitants of the natural park. The result of the project is in the shape of a documentary movie and an animation.
DRAMA THEATRE
The project presents the theatre as the connection between two parallel worlds - one being artistic and the other - profane. The spectator entering the theatre turns into an actor going backstage only to find out that the world itself is a stage and a man is always in a spectacle.

Antonina Dimitrova Tritakova
I was born and grew up in Bulgaria. I graduated from architecture in Sofia, Bulgaria in the beginning of 2024. During and after my studies I have been part of multiple exchange programs and had the chance to experience different environments as a student and intern abroad. With an architectural journey composed of philosophical investigations and artistic experiments, the multidisciplinary approach has been an initial part of my process during the past few years.
