The project involved the complete renovation of an early 20th-century, abandoned stone house. The core design philosophy was to preserve the historical and aesthetic imprint of the residence, showcasing the harmonious fusion of heritage and modernity. Originally built with limited openings due to historical conditions, it was redesigned to enhance natural light through carefully placed new skylights.

The stone walls were preserved as a defining architectural feature. The wooden roof structure from the 1980s was treated to gain a weathered look, while century-old timber from the original housetop was reused as decorative elements. The kitchen remained built-in, retaining the traditional, local character of the early 1900s. New interventions, such as minimalist lighting, bespoke wooden furniture, and updated mechanical systems, were subtly integrated to seamlessly merge with the historic fabric, creating a space that is both timeless and functional.
