Rebeka Pajek

Rebeka Pajek, a graduate student in textile and clothing design, creatively intertwines textile design with video, as demonstrated through her successful collaborations in two set designs: the original Slovenian opera Deklica z vžigalicami and the modern rendition of the baroque opera Agripina in 2021, at the invitation of Assoc. Prof. Rok Rappl from the Academy of Music at the University of Ljubljana. She merges the visual language of textiles with artistic elements of video, embodying both media, interpreting them in unique ways, and combining them into new wholes. Through her studies at the University of Lapland Faculty of Art and Design in Rovaniemi, where she also explored innovative interventions in photography, she has significantly enhanced her creative approach to presenting textiles, which she explains and enriches through her work.
