Casa Da Abelha
We are a studio dedicated to authorial furniture and objects with a minimalist and contemporary character.
Conceived by architect and designer Mariana Bueno, the projects are carried out in collaboration with skilled artisans in the countryside of Minas Gerais.
Our purpose is to celebrate the beauty of what is Brazilian and handcrafted through the creation of high-quality objects that are equally functional, easy to handle, and versatile — designed to serve multiple purposes and harmonize with one another.
Mariana Bueno
Founder, Architect & Designer
Passionate about art and nature. Since childhood, I’ve felt the need to create things, and my mind only finds peace when I bring some creation out of it — something that has often caused me great anguish and a sense of disconnection from the world around me. Today, I transform that into art.
As an architect trained in Brasília, I worked in both large and small offices there. In constant and direct contact with architecture and artistic production, I became fascinated with furniture design. Currently, I live in an industrial town in the countryside of Minas Gerais, which has directly influenced my design and the execution of my work.
After much practice, executed prototypes, and proportion studies, I am now producing my first line of authorial furniture — the Lu Collection — inspired by Neoconcretism and the transformative processes found in nature.
Mobility, practicality, and dynamism are the ideals I seek for my furniture; they can be used in whatever way imagination allows.
