The steep site for the new nursing home was utilized in such a way that, in addition to the main entrance at courtyard level, barrier-free access to the local recreation area on the slope was also provided. A dementia garden was created at the courtyard level – previously used as a parking lot.

The building is laid out clearly: the two care floors, with a wooden facade, stand out distinctly from the common area with a café, multi-purpose room, administration, and a south-facing terrace. Four residential groups with a total of 62 beds are housed there. The bright and spatially differentiated lounge and exercise areas all have views of the outdoors and are organized to facilitate tours for people with dementia. On the slope side, the U-shaped building forms another, more intimate courtyard.
