QUERFORMAT was founded in 2010 by Gerald Amann, Stefan Kopecny and Paul Steurer.
From these three individuals, a 15 to 20 – strong architecture firm has developed. Large enough to handle complex projects, but small enough to never lose a keen eye for detail. We work throughout the German-speaking region, with our main focus on projects in Vorarlberg. We consider architecture to be the creation of customised solutions for spatial design. Our projects include single-family homes, residential complexes, commercial and public buildings, renovations and subsequent densification. We have consciously chosen NOT to specialise, either in terms of typology, material or construction. Our aim is to always find the BEST solution: as simple, clear and pragmatic as possible. And it must be aesthetic. As architects, we are conscious of our great social responsibility. We therefore regard sustainable and resource-conserving construction as a matter of course.
