Paseo Mallorca 15 – A Benchmark in Sustainable Urban Living
Located on the tree-lined promenade of Paseo Mallorca, right in the heart of the city and facing the river, Paseo Mallorca 15 is a new residential complex that places sustainability, energy efficiency, urban integration, material quality, and interior comfort at the forefront of its design.
The project is conceived in accordance with Passivhaus standards, achieving maximum energy efficiency with a heating and cooling demand of less than 15 kWh/(m²·a). This allows for a reduction in energy consumption by up to 90% compared to conventional buildings, classifying it as a nearly zero-energy building (nZEB).
The architecture maintains a strong connection to its surroundings through visual and material continuity. Upon entering, residents are welcomed by a wall of bamboo cane, a plant commonly found along Mediterranean waterways, like the one directly in front of the building. This vegetal element leads to the building’s inner courtyard – an oasis of greenery, calm, and coolness.
The courtyard, designed across various levels, serves as the green lung of the building. It vertically connects the living spaces, landscaped terraces, gym, spa, and swimming pool, forming a collective vertical axis that promotes natural cross ventilation and brings light and freshness into every apartment.
