The result of our work on the redesign of the Himberg Nursing Home, with its diverse facilities ranging from “Long-Term Care & Dementia”, to “Geronto-Psychosocial Care & Support”, its “Public & Semi-Public Facilities”, and its “Business and Support” areas, presents itself, on the one hand, as a homogeneous building volume with the shortest possible access routes, while, on the other, its scale and roofscape create a sensitively structured ensemble.
Its division into individually differentiated and multifaceted building volumes thus avoids an incompatible large form and integrates harmoniously into the context of its surroundings. Our design, through the arrangement of its building volumes, ensures the smooth implementation of its realization while maintaining uninterrupted operation.
