Mattia Tami: Ristorante Campofelice
AERA Studio di Architettura, Switzerland
The continuous search for a new architecture that is welcoming and respectful towards society and the environment is made possible through the constant commitment of a young group of architects with different but complementary knowledge, led by the architect Mattia Tami (class of ’84).
The name of the studio AERA stands for Architettura Eco-Razionale dell’Abitare ‘Eco-Rational Architecture of Living’ .
We build Architecture with the conviction that this should inspire emotion and feelings of beauty and harmony, in a sustainable way.
Eco, from the Greek “ôikos” ‘the family’s property’, means for us an approach that pays special attention to the good management of economic and ecological resources, including the landscape.
Rational is the ability to find the right balance between all these factors with care and sensibility towards the clients and final users.
It is to them that the last word of the anagram is dedicated: Abitare, ‘inhabit’, With this word we underline that the real value of our buildings comes from the people who enjoy and live in the spaces we create. That is why dialogue with the customer is fundamental in our approach.
