Martin Tvarůžek: Skid steer loader LOCUST

Martin Tvarůžek has been supporting Czech and foreign manufacturing companies in innovating products, machinery and equipment for more than twenty years.
The focus of his work is the extensive analytical part of the project, which is a detailed study of customer groups, environment and user and functional context of products, which he then reflects in their new formal design.

By using design as a key tool for innovation and competitiveness, Martin Tvarůžek helps its clients to increase turnover, penetrate new markets, increase product profitability, increase user comfort, reduce production costs, reduce costs associated with assembly, shipping and servicing 
of equipment, etc. In this way, he has been involved in the development of dozens of products that are in repeat production and sold on the global market.

Since 2014, he has been leading the Tvarůžek Studio at the Institute of Industrial Design at the Faculty of Architecture of the Czech Technical University in Prague. As a lecturer, he lectures on his methodology and results to manufacturing companies at innovation conferences organized by public and private entities.

He has been awarded many times for his work in the National Design Award competition 
and at professional international trade fairs. In 2015 and 2017, he became the first Czech to win the prestigious Red Dot Winner award in the Heavy machinery category. This year he received his third Red Dot Winner award and at the same time became only the fourth Czech to win the highest possible price Red Dot: Best of the Best in the Product Design 2023.
