Koleliba as we called this tiny vacation house ( koleliba – a made up word meaning a hut with wheels) is our response to the invading consumerism that encourages us to always want our homes bigger, better and unnecessary luxurious. It’s a step back to a simpler life without excesses but full of free time, happy moments and shared joy. The restrictions defying the sizes of a vehicle that could hit the roads, determined the size of this home – 9 sq.m. Limited space in which we managed to fit everything necessary. As the main goal of this project was to make us spend more time outside and make up for the murky, rainy days in the office, we left the nature outside to play the main role. Having full height glazed windows and a big bench spanning across the main facade, allowed us to enjoy the amazing views and spend lovely evenings watching the sunsets with a glass of wine. This is a place where we let ourselves to have quality time just for the pleasure of it leaving the busy city life away for a couple of days.
