As an independent designer, she specializes primarily in fashion design, concentrating on the comprehensive design of uniforms and workwear for both foreign and domestic clients. She earned her master’s degree at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Engineering at the University of Ljubljana, specializing in the design of a complete clothing concept for employees of Slovenian Railways. She leads her own brand of women’s sustainable clothing, KATJA KUHAR. Her work is inspired by the rich cultural heritage, which is reflected in her collections and other projects. In 2023, she collaborated on designing a new collection for the renowned Slovenian brand Toper. She is an advocate for changes and improvements in the field of uniforms at the national level, particularly in sports uniforms. Through her work, she strives to elevate professionalism in this area.
