Jana Vlčková: MODULO – Ecological disinfection device using diamond nanotechnology

Jana Vlčková is young product designer from Slovakia. During her studies at the Faculty of Architecture and Design, Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, Jana has participated in the Covid Colab initiative. Covid Collaboration Lab was an experimental design initiative that aimed to apply the principles of design thinking and complete co-creation in the situation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Shared communication platform facilitated by Covid Colab started new partnerships and managed to connect students of different design schools in Slovakia and Czech Republic, creating space for further cooperation. Direct continuation of the initiative was the long term cooperation with Slovak Diamond group – starting with the project of modular disinfection device Modulo, that was directly continued by 2 generations of functional prototypes Nanodi M1 & M3 and Nanodi Aria & Maia. In 2021 Jana Vlačková and her colleague, Ivana Palušová, have cofounded a startup Nanodi, awarded in Challenger Green & Digital acceleration program.
