Ginger sushi terrace, Bucharest

A ‘covered space’, delicate, lighted, fluid, refined, express the fresh energy of bamboo thicket, through which you can still see the sky. It seems that an atmosphere is obtained, created with textures, lights, shadows, transparencies, movement, which seems to find inspiration in the japanese culture. The fluid, translucent, textile ceiling, hanged on the structure, offers shadow during the day, and light during the night, becoming a huge lamp that lightens the interior courtyard of the hotel. With few materials and limited budget, Ginger Sushi Terrace succeeds to give value and bring life into a resulted space between the buildings of the hotel.

What makes this project one-of-a-kind?
Ginger Sushi Terrace is a project about light and shadow, the most beautiful and defining themes in architecture. The temporary character of the project contrasts with the profound poetics of space.
