In the specific landscape of the island Hvar: Sv. Nedilja, between slopes and the sea, is located a plot where holiday home is being designed, as an anchored ship between rocks and sea. The whiteness of the building is in strong contrast with the limestone rock – reddish breccia – that characterizes the entire space and is emphasized throughout the layers, from south to north.

The basement floor is treated with limestone rock, cut into the bowels of the plot. Above it, like a deck, rises the white, two-story space of the house, holding by two white, triangular supports. The southern terrace ends with the console plate – like the prow of a ship that “sails” towards the island of Šćedro. While from the north side it seems as if it is about to set sail, the building is shyly hidden behind pines on the west side, while the eastern part is reserved for the pool and outdoor living. However, the most important part of the house is the covered patio of the ground floor: it is the main place to stay in the shade, with a view of the pool, sea and pines. The building responded in the right way to the microclimate of the region by letting in: wind, shade, and sun, and providing comfort to its users throughout the day.
