At the top of a historic Viennese building, a fragmented attic becomes a fluid, multifunctional duplex. The project transforms irregular volumes and pitched ceilings into a continuous, spatial narrative. A custom-designed wooden core connects all functions – from kitchen to library – while a sculptural staircase serves as desk, dining table, archive, and lounge.
Light, once a limitation, becomes a protagonist: Electrified textile belts suspend adjustable spotlights, allowing dynamic, app-controlled lighting. Natural oak and soft tones create a warm, tactile atmosphere. Designed by ANeMA, this 150 m² apartment reinvents small-scale living, where every gesture is considered, every surface intentional. Architecture becomes a companion to daily life.
