Copraxis in Schladming presents a modern, forward-thinking medical centre in the heart of the Alpine region. The project was completed within just two months, thanks to careful planning and close collaboration with the clients. Emphasis was placed on sustainability, regional craftsmanship, and cost-effective construction and implementation.

The design brief was to break away from the traditional, sterile image of medical centres by introducing a new interior concept within the existing structure. The focus was on creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere – combining comfort, discretion, and modern elegance.

Natural, sustainable materials and meticulous attention to detail define the interior. Instead of a typical dimly lit waiting room, light-filled spaces with earthy tones evoke a cozy, living-room-like ambiance – making a visit to the doctor feel relaxing rather than clinical. High-quality wood and stone veneer surfaces anchor the design, expressing a fresh interpretation of tradition infused with innovation.

Throughout the process, preserving the building’s original character was a priority. Minimal yet thoughtful interventions were made to adapt the space to the users’ needs, resulting in a medical centre that is both inviting and exemplary in design.
