Blloku West Residences by Stefano Boeri Architetti

Located in the central Blloku district of Tirana, West Residence is a residential building composed of a series of slightly staggered, overlapping cubic volumes, conceived as independent residential modules, so that each housing unit is provided with at least one loggia or balcony. The project occupies a long and narrow plot, and stands along a major road artery, with its shorter façade facing the street, while the main façade opens onto a large public space within the urban fabric, establishing a direct visual and spatial dialogue with the surrounding public buildings.

This architectural configuration allows different visual cones for each of the thirty apartments, ensuring that all inhabitants can perceive the city of Tirana in its entirety. In addition, every dwelling is designed with double exposure to the exterior, maximizing not only the quality of views, but, above all, the availability of natural light and cross-ventilation, thereby enhancing indoor environmental comfort.
