The Berzsenyi Dániel Lyceum acquired this property to house its library collection and create a modern community space for researchers, teachers, and students. The building, formerly serving as a parsonage, required extensive reconstruction due to its dilapidated condition.
During the restoration, Baroque decorative paintings were uncovered in several locations beneath the whitewash. The project honors the historical significance of these discoveries and carefully restores them. Original doors, shelves, railings, and the building’s harmonious loggias, vaults, and arches coexist with contemporary interventions for the new functions, all expressed through a color palette combining wood, green, and white surfaces.
