Astrid Schröder-Holzhacker: City Lake Horn

Astrid Schröder-Holzhacker studied Landscape Architecture at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (BOKU) in Vienna and at Cornell University in the USA. Afterwards she worked for 5 years for the City of Vienna in different planning departments. After that she was supervisor for the private garden section at a company in Lower Austria. She has been with YEWO LANDSCAPES for 2 years now, currently as a team-leader of the project team, focusing on concept drawing and implementation. Some recent project are: Bad Vöslau (Austria) city square (implementing sponge-city), open space for residential buildings in Wädenswil (Switzerland) and City Lake Horn (Austria).
YEWO LANDSCAPES GmbH is an owner-managed landscape architecture firm based in Vienna, Austria. Established in 2009, the company has more than 25 employees. With over 20 years of experience in planning and research of public spaces, it’s founder and managing director, Dominik Scheuch, also teaches at several Austrian universities. With the very international and interdisciplinary team, YEWO LANDSCAPES works on competitions and projects throughout Austria, Germany, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Switzerland. The focus areas include urban planning, climate resilience, sustainability, user-friendliness and inclusivity.
