AlpiNN – Food Space & Restaurant, Italy

AlpiNN – Food Space & Restaurant is a project conceived by Norbert Niederkofler and Paolo Ferretti in 2018. It is a reinterpretation of the classic restaurant, a place where lunch is an opportunity to approach the world of food also from an artistic point of view. The interior, designed by Martino Gamper, reinterprets the atmosphere of a traditional mountain house. All the furnishings were made by local craftsmen. Wood is still the protagonist, but takes on contemporary shapes reminiscent of the geome try of natural landscapes. The chairs come from a reinterpretation of the typical Stube seat, the tables are modular, the lamps run on long rails. The ceiling is made of Loden panels, a Tyrolean fabric painted with a water – friendly Japanese technique. The floor of larch wood from the Aurina Valley is the reworking of a Tyrolean parquet. All these choices are inspired by Niederkofler’s sustainable Cook the Mountain philosophy, an invitation to respect the planet.
