A value-preserving renovation was carried out on a 100-year-old villa in Budapest. The house was originally built as the result of a design competition initiated by a historical literature magazine, and was awarded by lottery among its subscribers. Over the course of the decades, the villa underwent several extensions and alterations, reflecting the evolving needs of the renowned composer’s family, who lived here in the past 55 years.
The organic façade alterations accumulated over recent decades were carefully consolidated and clarified, restoring coherence to the exterior. Technically, the building underwent complete structural and mechanical modernization. The interior was reconfigured to house a welcoming child psychology clinic, ensuring that the villa retains its cultural and architectural relevance for the next century.
