Wattori is part of the international NEDO project, a collaboration between Slovenian and Japanese partners focused on smart grids and sustainable communities. At the ELES site in Ljubljana, a battery storage system was installed alongside the Wattori Smart Grid Demonstration Hub, which showcases the results of the project and ELES’s technological achievements.

The compact space features a modest entrance, a foyer with service access, a digital meeting room, and a staircase leading to the technical core. While the exterior remains minimal and functional, the interior offers a sensory and immersive experience. A glowing copper ceiling, a large “eye” window, an aquarium, and deep velvet curtains create a unique atmosphere that stimulates reflection on energy and technology.

Wattori is more than a technical facility – it is a spatial narrative that connects innovation with architecture, inviting visitors to engage with the future of electricity through emotion, perception, and imagination.
