“Lazure Hotel Beach” – Herceg Novi, Montenegro

Lazure Beach is located in the Meljine settlement, Municipality of Herceg Novi, within the Lazure Hotel & Marina resort. This 5-star resort features a 130-room hotel situated in a restored 18th-century building, complemented by newly constructed facilities including a wellness center, yacht club, and marina.

Lazure Hotel Beach is a large, triangular pebble beach positioned at the southeastern end of the resort, covering an area of 5.008 m² with a total coastline length of 101 meters. The design brief, provided by the client, called for an upgrade of the existing beach – previously featuring only a bar at the entrance and sunbeds by the sea – by introducing new facilities to enhance hotel services and fully utilize the beach area.

The newly designed beach has a total capacity of 274 sunbeds and reflects a leisurely Mediterranean lifestyle, guided by natural terrain integration and the use of local materials – primarily stone, wood, and Mediterranean plants. An inviting entrance area with adjacent changing rooms and a shower zone leads to a secluded beachfront.

The beach design includes an extended bar terrace that cascades toward a pool, which is integrated into the beach’s natural elevation, blending seamlessly with the surrounding pebbled terrain. This area features a children’s pool and an adult relaxation pool with sunken seating. Additional sunbeds with baldachins are placed along the beach’s longest side within a newly sanded area.

At the center of the triangular beach is an open bar that provides direct service to the front-row sunbeds. This comprehensive redesign adds a new level of luxury to the resort, while seamlessly integrating the beach into the natural landscape of Boka Bay.
