FORNO BELFIORE

Forno Belfiore is a micro-bakery nestled in a 25-square-meter space in Turin’s historic San Salvario district. The project translates the artisanal essence of bread-making into a compact, functional, and inviting environment.

A sliding glass partition seamlessly connects the kitchen with the sales area, allowing passersby to witness the preparation of organic baked goods crafted from ancient grains using time-honored techniques. The use of natural materials – including solid wood, unpainted washable surfaces, and preserved original flooring – reflects the bakery’s commitment to sustainability.

Custom-designed furnishings and handcrafted details lend the space a distinct identity, while carefully curated lighting respects the vaulted ceiling and historic character of the site. Balancing regulatory, spatial, and functional constraints, the design delivers a modest yet impactful architectural experience – where tradition and transparency shape the customer journey.
