Located within the Jerusalem Sports Complex, near the Municipal Football Stadium and the Arena, the New Tennis & Sports Center by HQ Architects upgrades a longstanding community landmark, reimagining a local tennis educational asset through innovation, accessibility, and sensitive urban integration. Spanning 9.000 sq.m., the two-story facility features six indoor tennis courts on the upper level, allowing year-round play with natural ventilation for optimal comfort.
Its curved aluminum slatted façade provides light, shading, and airflow, while the ground floor houses a gym, squash and judo spaces, and athlete accommodations, fostering a holistic sports environment. Facing the future light rail station, the Center introduces a commercial frontage that activates the street. By opening the once-enclosed site, the design integrates sport, community, and city life, symbolizing the inclusive, modern future of Jerusalem’s sporting culture.
