Prof. Assoc. Dr. Kristo is Dean of the Faculty of Applied Sciences and Creative Industries at Barleti University in Tirana and Executive Director of the Architecture Fund in Albania. His current activities focus on architectural education, cultural heritage, participatory urbanism, and cross-border EU projects in sustainable development and creative industries. He is a practicing architect and the co-founder of Tirana Architecture Triennale, a major initiative as also Open House Tirana, and international summer schools, strengthening Albania’s cultural and academic profile. He has expanded his role in European net-works including LINA. Community Platform and the New European Bauhaus, and advanced Albania’s integration in Creative Europe projects.​
