RiscoWhite
Located on the south bank of the River Cávado in Barcelinhos, RiscoWhite offers a wide green landscape, immortalized by the Palace of the Dukes of Bragança and the Medieval Tower. The land is divided into two elevated platforms, supported by high granite walls and adorned with hawks from which small flowers emerge – this is where RiscoWhite is situated.
In its design, the architecture seeks to embody the natural conditions of the site, embracing its historical legacy. The goal is to convey the existing language of a modest housing unit, without speculation or unnecessary ambition.
RiscoWhite appears as a stripped white concrete block, silently torn, extending along the lower platform. The volumes gravitate with the serenity of the place, engaging in a dialogue of two heights that allows the building to fully appreciate the vast landscape.
