The client wants to extend the existing restaurant, buffet ant kitchen at hotel Breza in Podčetrtek. An extension is made to an existing extension at the corner of the building.
Design concept: The “essence” or basic image of the building is defined by the elements of sloping roofs. With the tectonics (slope of the roof) of the new extension, we re-establish a balance with the building. With materials and plants we recreate the “essence” or feeling of freshness and openness of the birch forest. With the new intervention, we have created a unified image of the hotel, which returns to its old splendor. In the interior, we can relive the “essence” of birch forest. The hotel thus gains in its own identity, which we can touch, feel or simply enjoy.
