Orhan Nikšić is the CEO and co-founder of the Zanat brand from Bosnia. As a representative of the fourth generation, he continues the family’s rich tradition of handcrafted carved furniture. Together with his co-founders, he has positioned Zanat as a bridge between a rich cultural heritage, contemporary design approaches, and a pioneering agenda of social responsibility.

Orhan’s professional background has had a key influence on Zanat’s vision. As a development economist, he worked at the World Bank. His last assignment was related to the State of Palestine, based in Jerusalem, where he published several influential studies on the Palestinian economy and contributed to a development program worth over 200 million dollars. Previously, he worked as an economic advisor in Kosovo and Bosnia and as an economic analyst at the U.S. company Edison International, focusing on risk management and electricity price forecasting.
