Milka Gnjato

Milka Gnjato is an architect with 20 years of experience in the field of architecture. She is the author of numerous projects, including residential, business, educational, infrastructure, industrial, and cultural buildings, as well as public spaces. Many of her projects have been recognized in domestic and international competitions. Milka is one of the founding partners of Zabriskie practice, which she led to becoming one of the most recognized architecture firms in Serbia. In her role as creative director, she is responsible for improving design methodology and its outcomes. Shefirmly believes that every solution for a project should be found in its context—whether physical, social, cultural, or historical—and that the identity of architecture is revealed through its ability to communicate and convey human values across time. As the operational director, she is responsible for the strategic direction of the firm. She was a member of the expert council of the Belgrade Architecture Salon in 2023. Milka is also a member of the Council for the Republic of Serbia’s participation at the 19th Venice Architecture Biennale in 2025 and serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Belgrade Association of Architects.
