MVA (Mikelić Vreš arhitekti), Croatia
MVA is a young, successful, and creative architecture studio from Croatia that has been striving to find its own unique and unconventional architectural style since its inception. The studio was founded in 2007 by Marin Mikelić and Tomislav Vreš after many years of working in various studios in Zagreb. MVA designs everything from small-scale projects and single-family homes to tourist and public buildings.
Each project is approached individually, with the important issues that need to be addressed innovatively during the design process being identified first. Among the studio’s most successful projects are Hotel Well, Terme Tuhelj, which has received prestigious Croatian architecture awards, and the Histria Aromatica estate, which was nominated for the 2015 Mies van der Rohe Award, among others.
