In balance between classic and modern, Mame Bergère owes its elaborate simplicity to the observation of the roundness and unbroken lines of an edamame bean pod. “Mame”, which is precisely the Japanese for bean, is an armchair whose design aims to avoid any building elements in sight, integrating part of the cushioning system with its body shell. The comfort guaranteed by the upholstered foam is enhanced by a companion Ottoman and it combines with a feeling of solidity and neatness of its metal structure while preserving a balance in proportions.
